nOS - Decentralised Operating System

Access the new decentralized internet and smart economy with the nOS virtual operating system.

The Project

nOS is a virtual operating system designed to provide users with access to the Blockchain Powered Open Internet and Smart Economy.

In May 2018, nOS initiated a community UI design competition for its nOS client platform, tasking participants with creating UI concepts that incorporated an integrated nOS menu, a web browser, login page, DApp discovery dashboard, settings, and token wallets.

The iteration presented here is a refinement of my initial submission, aiming to deliver a clean, intuitive, and user-friendly interface that minimizes distractions, allowing users to focus on their primary tasks seamlessly.

Sending and receiving cryptocurrencies can be a daunting endeavor, particularly for newcomers to the space. For blockchain technology to achieve broad acceptance, decentralized apps must prioritize accessibility, simplicity, and user-friendliness, comparable to everyday applications people are accustomed to.

Incorporating intuitive design patterns akin to those employed in traditional banking applications, each screen in the process guides the user and furnishes feedback at every step, thereby minimizing cognitive strain and enhancing the user experience.
